Local Education Group (LEG) Coordinator

Overview

Responsible for coordinating and ensuring the effective functioning of the Local Education Group (LEG) and its thematic working groups. The role involves organizing meetings, facilitating dialogue, monitoring implementation, and strengthening collaboration among various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and ensure the effective functioning of the Local Education Group (LEG) and its thematic working groups.
• Organize and facilitate sector meetings, consultations, and multi-stakeholder dialogue processes.
• Monitor the implementation of agreed actions, recommendations, and education sector priorities.
• Strengthen collaboration among government institutions, development partners, UN agencies, and civil society organizations.
• Develop and manage reporting, monitoring, and knowledge management systems.
• Produce analytical reports, policy briefs, and decision-making tools to support evidence-based planning.
• Promote gender equality, inclusion, and equity across all LEG processes and activities.
• Support the implementation and monitoring of the Education and Training Sector Strategy (ETSS 2023-2030) and the GPE Partnership Compact.

Required Experience

5 to 10 years of experience in education sector coordination, policy development, partnership management, or development cooperation.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Education, Public Policy, International Development, Social Sciences, Project Management, or a related field.
