Investment Officer

Overview

The Investment Officer will participate in processing private sector financing projects and technical assistance, establish and maintain client relationships, and manage government relations in the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and/or participate in project processing, including due diligence, risk analysis, and structuring of loans, equity investments, guarantees, or other assistance.
• Lead credit and financial due diligence by developing financial models and assessing risk and credit profiles of proposed financial institutions projects.
• Analyze financial statements and projections, perform sensitivity analysis and stress testing, and make recommendations.
• Participate in due diligence missions and provide technical support.
• Represent ADB in transactions with external advisors, consultants, and lawyers.
• Lead sector and country research for transaction risk assessment.
• Collaborate with the Office of Risk Management and Safeguards Specialists.
• Work with the Treasury Department to facilitate local currency lending.
• Prepare project documentation and presentation materials.
• Lead and/or facilitate discussions with potential financial institutions for project development.
• Identify and screen projects for developmental aspects and commercial viability.
• Contribute to the development of policy and strategies for ADB's developmental goals.
• Liaise with governments to advocate and promote PSFI projects.
• Perform other assigned tasks.

Required Experience

At least 8 years of work experience preferably in the financial sector. Deal origination experience in debt and equity transactions in Georgia and other countries in the region.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in management or finance or in related fields; preferably with advanced training and/or qualification as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
