Overview
The incumbent will participate in and contribute to the implementation of the Section's programme of work relating to facilitation, maritime digitalization, data harmonization, port administration and technical cooperation activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide secretariat support to the Facilitation Committee (FAL), the Expert Group on Data Harmonization (EGDH), and other related subsidiary bodies and working groups.
- Act as Secretary of the Expert Group on Data Harmonization (EGDH).
- Deal with maritime facilitation, maritime digitalization, port administration and port management issues.
- Assist in the preparation for, serving and following-up of, meetings of Committees, Sub-Committees and other relevant bodies.
- Act as Secretary of working, drafting or expert groups.
- Assist in the conduct of multidisciplinary projects.
- Prepare reports, publications, circulars and other documents and correspondence.
- Support the delivery of technical cooperation and capacity-building activities.
- Carry out missions to Member States on specific assignments; represent the Organization at meetings, conferences, seminars and workshops; and prepare and deliver presentations, lectures and technical papers.
Required Experience
A minimum of five years of progressively responsible professional experience in maritime transport, shipping, port management, data management, maritime facilitation or related fields is essential. Relevant professional experience in the maritime and port sector is essential.
Qualifications
University degree or equivalent in Maritime Transport, Shipping and Port Management, Logistics International Trade or data management.
