Overview

The post holder will support the delivery of recruitment, outreach, talent acquisition and workforce planning activities across the Organization. The role involves managing recruitment processes, implementing outreach initiatives, and providing recruitment advice to managers.


Key Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment and selection activities.
  • Advise hiring managers and review recruitment requirements.
  • Lead the design and implementation of candidate assessment methodologies.
  • Review and endorse recruitment recommendations.
  • Monitor and evaluate recruitment effectiveness.
  • Support the implementation of outreach and sourcing strategies.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at strengthening employer branding.
  • Establish and maintain strategic relationships with universities and professional associations.
  • Design and coordinate initiatives to improve workforce diversity.
  • Lead workforce planning initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain workforce planning frameworks.
  • Analyse workforce trends and talent gaps.
  • Coordinate organizational succession planning.
  • Prepare strategic workforce reports.
  • Contribute to the development of recruitment strategies.
  • Identify and implement process improvements.
  • Support the implementation of recruitment systems.
  • Coordinate the work of junior HR personnel.
  • Lead cross-functional HR initiatives.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Experience

A minimum of five years of relevant experience in workforce planning, recruitment and selection is essential. Work experience in a multilateral/international organisation, experience within the UN common system as well as managing a diverse team will be an advantage. Demonstrated experience in providing recruitment feedback. Experience in leading human resources related projects.

Qualifications

A first-level university degree in Human Resources Management, Business or Public Administration, Employment Relations or a relevant field is essential. Professional certifications in Human Resources is an advantage.

Advanced level of proficiency in English, both written and oral, is essential.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of another official language of the United Nations will be desirable.
Contract Duration
Fixed-term for two years (first year is probationary) with the possibility of further extension, subject to satisfactory performance

Remuneration
US$ 71,335 net per annum, plus post adjustment (currently US$ 56,782). Salary is free of income tax in the United Kingdom.
