Overview

Supports the design and development of learning programmes and curricula, and facilitates the delivery of assigned learning programmes in Welding and Sheet Metal.

Key Responsibilities

• Supports the design and development of learning programmes and curricula, including occupational and competency analyses, drafting programme profiles, learning guides and manuals, assessing and integrating new technologies, and assisting in integrating career guidance.
• Facilitates the delivery of school-based and work-based learning programmes, including setting up training venues, utilizing facilities and equipment, selecting trainees, preparing inclusive training plans, facilitating and monitoring learning, employing adult learning strategies, and mainstreaming Occupational Health and Safety (OSH) and core skills.
• Prepares student assessments (formative and summative), practice-based and knowledge-based skills tests, develops assessment sheets, grids and inclusive skills assessment implementation plans, and conducts knowledge and practice-based assessments.
• Supports maintaining linkages with employers, workers, and TVET instructors, collects and utilizes labour market information, and supports conducting and analysing skills needs assessments, employers' surveys, and trainees and graduate trace studies.
• Applies quality assurance tools and processes across the training cycle.
• Supports TVET greening and digitalisation initiatives, assists in designing and implementing green and digital learning programmes, integrates green and digital skills, and supports the development and facilitation of synchronous and asynchronous training sessions.
• Collaborates with other instructors and staff members in coordinating the teaching and learning process, maintaining a respectful environment, order and discipline, implementing co-curricular activities, and supporting OSH measures and tools.
• Performs other duties as may be assigned.

Required Experience

No experience is required.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of full Secondary Education.
• Two years post-secondary Industrial/Technical education or training from an accredited educational institution in Welding and Sheet Metal Fabrication or related field.
