Overview

Develop and implement business entrepreneurship support activities, including training and coaching, to strengthen business viability and growth for entrepreneurs.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement business entrepreneurship support activities.
  • Develop and update entrepreneurship training materials and curricula.
  • Identify, mobilize, screen, and register eligible beneficiaries.
  • Conduct market and business opportunity assessments.
  • Deliver entrepreneurship training on various business aspects.
  • Provide individual and group coaching and mentoring to entrepreneurs.
  • Promote and support innovative entrepreneurial initiatives.
  • Establish and facilitate linkages with relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage the provision of business toolkits.
  • Organize and coordinate entrepreneurship events.
  • Conduct field visits and follow-up with beneficiaries.
  • Provide feedback, identify challenges, and recommend support measures.
  • Collect, analyze, and maintain project data.
  • Contribute to monitoring, evaluation, reporting, and knowledge management.
  • Prepare technical reports, progress reports, case studies, and other project documentation.
  • Promote the integration of gender equality, youth empowerment, disability inclusion, environmental sustainability, safeguarding, and protection principles.
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned.
Required Experience

A minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible professional experience in business development, entrepreneurship support, feasibility studies, educational or TVET projects, business training programmes, community-based development projects, small and medium enterprise (SME) development, microfinance, or other related fields. Demonstrated experience in designing, developing, and/or delivering entrepreneurship and business development training programmes, and supporting entrepreneurs and small businesses. Experience as a trainer and/or facilitator. Experience in providing coaching, mentoring, and advisory services to start-ups and emerging entrepreneurs.

Qualifications

A university degree from an accredited educational institution in Business Administration, Economics, Project management, Finance, Entrepreneurship or a related field.

Languages Required
English and Arabic are required. UN Level III in Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking for both English and Arabic.
Languages Preferred
Experience in Training of Trainers (ToT) is an asset. Good knowledge of the Syrian business environment, local labour market, entrepreneurship ecosystem, and financial service providers, including microfinance institutions and other relevant financing mechanisms, is desirable.
Contract Duration
Up to three months, with the possibility of further extension.

Remuneration
Grade 14 Daily Rate 35.97 USD. The salary may be subject to a reduced work schedule. 1 day Annual Leave and 1 day of sick leave for each completed month of service.
