Overview
Provides guidance and counselling to individuals and groups, coordinates work with NGOs, and develops community awareness activities related to mental health and psychosocial well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Develops a plan of action at the functional location level and coordinates actions with UNRWA’s staff.
- Provides guidance and counselling to individuals and groups and conducts home visits.
- Coordinates work with contracted NGOs.
- Contributes to the expansion of the network of resources in the community.
- Develops and conducts activities to raise community awareness on mental health and psychosocial well-being.
- Develops plans for quick crisis intervention.
- Prepares monthly reports.
Required Experience
At least two years of experience in psychosocial counselling is required.
Qualifications
A university degree from an accredited educational institution in psychology, social work or a related field.
