Overview
The Legal Analyst - Asia will support IFC lawyers and business teams across investment, advisory, upstream, and portfolio matters within the Legal Department of IFC (CLED).
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare supporting documentation for internal and external matters.
- Assist IFC in-house counsel in preparing and reviewing legal documentation.
- Coordinate effectively with IFC’s external counsel.
- Support the legal execution and closing of IFC transactions.
- Maintain complete and accurate legal records.
- Support portfolio matters relating to IFC’s investments.
- Support IFC’s advisory and upstream program.
- Identify and analyze legal and policy issues associated with projects.
- Anticipate and escalate execution, documentation, or process issues.
- Contribute to and support CLED’s Knowledge Management or other organizational objectives.
- Contribute to and support institutional matters relevant to the relevant IFC country office.
Required Experience
2-3 years as an associate with a law firm, or training offered by a professional institution or law firm and /or 5+ years of relevant experience in assisting lawyers with the preparation and handling of legal documentation in a para-legal or similar capacity.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in law.
