Overview
The Monitoring Assistant will perform monitoring activities and provide reports to support the effective delivery of assistance packages, ensuring project oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Tracking of project activities through activity tracking matrix.
- Compile information against agreed milestones and share performance against planned targets.
- Verify targeting and prioritization as per Green Climate Fund’s Full Proposal and/or WFP internal procedures.
- Perform monitoring of ongoing activities and ensure training sessions are conducted as per agreements.
- Ensure effective oversight during cash disbursement.
- Perform different types of assessments to document benefits of WFP interventions.
- Support baseline, mid-term, and end-term assessments.
- Compile reported issues in tracking matrix and maintain follow-up.
- Perform purposive monitoring visits to follow-up on critical issues.
- Liaise with cooperating partners, district authorities and internal counterparts to collate programme information and feedback.
- Represent WFP at coordination forum(s) and update WFP provincial office.
- Provide guidance to cooperating partners on WFP operational practices, monitoring tools and methods.
- Prepare and timely share field mission reports.
- Align field monitoring functions with the implementation flow cycle.
- Other tasks as required by the immediate supervisor.
Required Experience
Four years of experience in monitoring & evaluation. Field work experience in any sector of social development.
Qualifications
Completion of Secondary Education. First level university degree in Public Administration, Social Sciences, Economics & Statistics is an advantage.
