Junior Communications and Advocacy Officer

Overview

Support communications and advocacy efforts for the Ending Violence Against Women (EVAW) team at the regional level. The assignment will contribute to the visibility and outreach of key regional initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development and adaptation of communications materials related to Ending Violence against Women (EVAW), including social media content, web content, briefs, and visual assets.
• Assist in the preparation of advocacy and outreach materials for regional campaigns, events, and commemorations.
• Support donor visibility requirements for EVAW initiatives.
• Support event planning and coordination, including for the global SVRI Forum.
• Assist with basic graphic design tasks.
• Support graphic design, photography and/or video production activities.
• Support the organisation and archiving of communications assets and materials.
• Support coordination of EVAW-related activities and meetings at the regional level.
• Assist with youth engagement-related activities linked to EVAW advocacy.
• Assist in tracking communications outputs and basic performance metrics.
• Support knowledge management by compiling and organising communications resources.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in communications, media studies, journalism, international relations, gender studies, development studies, social work, or a related field.
