Overview

The role supports the maintenance and improvement of IT services, providing assistance to end-users, IT infrastructure, telecommunications, asset management, and corporate digital tools.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first and second level technical assistance to users and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Assist in monitoring, diagnosing, maintaining, and optimizing IT and telecommunications systems.
  • Respond to user requests and incidents according to established service standards and procedures.
  • Help users effectively utilize UN Secretariat corporate applications, collaboration tools, and digital platforms.
  • Install, configure, test, and maintain laptops, computers, printers, mobile devices, and other ICT equipment.
  • Assist in preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure technological resources remain operational and secure.
  • Support the deployment and replacement of ICT equipment in national offices and field hubs.
  • Provide support in basic network administration and troubleshooting activities, including wired and wireless connectivity.
  • Maintain accurate records of ICT assets and inventory movements.
  • Support tracking, allocation, transfer, and disposal processes of assets in accordance with RCO and OCHA policies and procedures.
  • Assist in periodic inventory verification and asset reconciliation exercises.
  • Support the deployment, maintenance, and operation of corporate digital tools used by RCO and OCHA staff, as well as implementing partners.
  • Assist in developing user guides, technical documentation, and training materials.
  • Conduct basic user orientation sessions and hands-on training on ICT tools and systems.
  • Promote the adoption of digital solutions that enhance operational efficiency and accountability.
  • Contribute ideas and recommendations for improving ICT services, business processes, and operational efficiency.
  • Support technological preparedness and response activities during emergency operations.
  • Participate in ICT projects and initiatives as required by operational priorities.
Required Experience

3 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

Technical/vocational diploma in Information Technology Support (ICT), Network Administration, End-user Support, Digital Solutions.
