Overview

The role provides strategic guidance and advice on the Humanitarian, Development and Peace (HDP) nexus approach and strengthens resource mobilization through partnerships with various stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead strategic guidance and advice for the country office’s programming and delivery on the HDP nexus approach.
  • Lead development of new opportunities for HDP work.
  • Provide advice on identifying entry points to HDP nexus.
  • Provide strategic guidance and advice to national HDP institutions and actors on policy issues.
  • Provide strategic guidance and advice to UNDP Senior management on integrated HDP initiatives.
  • Provide support to Governance, Peace and Security Unit in its programs and activities.
  • Build, coordinate, and maintain strategic relationships with key partners and donors.
  • Set and monitor annual partnership priorities, goals, and KPIs.
  • Analyze donor trends, policies, and financing instruments.
  • Maintain donor profiles and intelligence, identify funding opportunities.
  • Support the development and review of donor agreements, funding proposals, and concept notes.
  • Develop and implement donor-specific resource mobilisation strategies.
  • Analyze donor trends, policies, ODA priorities, and funding cycles.
  • Support and advise senior management and programme teams in developing quality proposals.
  • Strengthen internal resource mobilisation capacity.
  • Coordinate the submission of high quality and timely reports to Donors.
  • Maintain systems to promote compliance with the terms of grants and agreements.
  • Provide technical support to programme managers for the preparation of high quality and timely donor reports.
  • Coordinate with Team leads or their repse Monitoring and Reporting Analyst for the collection of information and preparation of results-based reports.
  • Support the preparation and timely submission of high-quality, results-based donor reports.
  • Contribute to knowledge products, knowledge networks and communities of practice.
  • Organize regular meetings and engagements with donors.
  • Work closely with the Communications team to develop and disseminate informational and visibility materials.
  • Develop and deliver Country Office capacity-building initiatives on donor reporting and UNDP-donor cooperation.
Required Experience

Minimum of 7 years (with master’s degree) OR 9 years (with bachelor’s degree) in development cooperation or a relevant related field is required, including at the country-level. Demonstrated expertise in donor engagement and development cooperation. Demonstrated track record in resource mobilization for country and regional programmes.

Qualifications

Advanced university degree (master's degree or equivalent) in International Development, Economics, Business Administration, Political or Social Sciences, or related field is required, OR A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the above fields in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree.
