Overview

Provide professional technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for nutrition programmes/projects within the Country Programme, from development planning to delivery of results. Implement a variety of technical and administrative programme tasks to facilitate programme development, implementation, programme progress monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of results.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the design and management of nutrition initiatives through situation analysis, research, and documentation for effective planning and review.
  • Collaborate with teams and partners to oversee and evaluate projects, ensure compliance, resolve issues, and deliver timely reports to stakeholders.
  • Conduct field visits, provide guidance to partners, address challenges, and ensure successful implementation of nutrition programs.
  • Foster strong relationships with government, UN agencies, and donors, draft advocacy materials, and contribute to resource mobilization and inter-agency initiatives.
  • Capture and share best practices, apply innovative solutions, and participate in training to strengthen stakeholder capabilities and project outcomes.
Required Experience

A minimum of two years of professional experience in a developing country in one or more of the following areas is required: nutrition, public health, nutrition planning and management, or maternal, infant and child health/nutrition care. Previous experience with Stakeholder Coordination, Field Visit Monitoring, Analytic skills, Programme project development. Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.

Qualifications

A university degree in one of the following fields is required: nutrition, public health, nutritional epidemiology, global/international health and nutrition, health/nutrition research, policy and/or management, health sciences, nutritional epidemiology, or another health-related science field.

Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
