Overview
The Driver provides reliable and safe driving services, demonstrating professionalism, discretion, and integrity while ensuring compliance with local driving rules and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Drives office vehicles for the transport of UN staff, officials, visitors, and delivery/collection of mail, documents, and other items.
- Meets official personnel and visitors at the airport and may assist with basic visa and customs formalities.
- Ensures vehicle is kept in good running condition, addressing minor repairs and arranging for major repairs.
- Maintains vehicle logs, insurance, and other tax formalities.
- Prepares vehicle reports, recording mileage, fuel usage, and faults.
Required Experience
- 2 years of relevant work experience in Transportation, Administration, driving, vehicle maintenance, documentation, transportation, protocol compliance and any other related fields.
- Off-road, embassy, international, UN experience is desirable.
- Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts is desirable.
Qualifications
- Secondary education is required.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations.
- Possession of a professional driving License issued by a recognized institution in Mozambique is a must.
- Possession of advanced safe driving certificate from a recognized institution in Mozambique.
- Certification of off-road driving is a must.
