Overview

Assist the Trust Fund for Victims with tasks including drafting reports, conducting legal research, and supporting reparations proceedings.


Key Responsibilities
  • Drafting of reports, observations in judicial proceedings, correspondence with legal representatives, and policies as required;
  • Interact with Programme Managers and their team and various other staff members and stakeholders, in particular in order to write up implementation methods and collect knowledge and experience acquired;
  • Keep databases, as required;
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on questions of international criminal law, public international law, and other international and domestic legal materials, as appropriate;
  • Cite checking of submissions before the Court;
  • Support the TFV in procedures in regard to administrative eligibility screening in reparations proceedings;
  • Other tasks as needed.
Required Experience

At least 3 (three) years of relevant professional experience.

Qualifications

A law degree at a recognised university.

Languages Required
Proficiency in one of the working languages of the Court, French or English, is required.
Languages Preferred
Working knowledge of the other working language (French or English) is highly desirable. Knowledge of another official language of the Court (Arabic, Chinese, Russian and Spanish) is an asset.

Remuneration
Monthly remuneration of €1,500 (with a mandatory deduction for emergency health insurance) as well as some financial help for travel purposes for candidates who are not based in the Netherlands at the time of the recruitment.
