Overview
The Digital Communications Associate manages digital communication platforms and contributes to the development of digital storytelling products highlighting UN City Copenhagen and the work of resident agencies. The role supports the use of data-informed communication practices and emerging technologies including AI to strengthen communication workflows and digital engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and continuously optimize UN City Copenhagen digital platforms (website, intranet and social media channels)
- Enable publishing workflows and editorial standards
- Develop and produce digital communication products including multimedia content
- Develop digital storytelling products highlighting UN activities
- Monitor and analyse digital engagement across platforms
- Produce actionable insights to inform communication strategy and content development
- Support data-informed decisions on communication formats and channels
- Ensure integration of digital tools and AI-enabled workflows
- Provide administration support relating to Communications team activities
- Support coordination within the team, with Common Services as well as UN agencies
- Make sound contributions to knowledge networks and communities of practice
Required Experience
- Minimum 6 years (with secondary education) or 3 years (with bachelor’s degree) of progressively responsible experience in Digital Communication.
- Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.)
- Experience managing content management systems such as WordPress, and tools such as Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Photoshop or similar is an asset.
- Experience in social media platforms and implementing social media strategy is an asset.
- Experience using AI-assisted content production tools is considered an asset.
- Experience in handling administrative tasks is an asset.
- Experience working in an international organization is an asset.
Qualifications
- Secondary education is required.
- A university degree (Bachelor´s degree) in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Graphic Design, or any other related field of study will be given due consideration but is not a requirement.
