Overview
The Senior Protection Associate coordinates operational activities at the location level, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of protection interventions. The role involves monitoring protection standards, operational procedures, and practices in protection delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- - Lead and coordinate operational activities at location level.
- - Plan, organize, and monitor activities, overseeing implementation progress.
- - Coordinate with internal teams, partners, and authorities.
- - Collect data, track results, and produce high-quality reports.
- - Establish and maintain monitoring systems and ensure compliance with reporting standards.
- - Build trust with communities and stakeholders, demonstrating cultural sensitivity.
- - Manage individual protection cases, including GBV and child protection.
- - Monitor and intervene in cases of refoulement, expulsion, and other protection incidents.
- - Assist in identifying durable solutions for populations of concern.
- - Contribute to the design, implementation, and evaluation of protection-related programming.
- - Facilitate effective information management through disaggregated data.
- - Participate in initiatives to capacitate authorities, institutions, and NGOs.
- - Provide assistance in deciding priorities for reception, interviewing, and counselling.
- - Enforce compliance of staff and implementing partners with global protection policies and standards.
- - Recommend and prepare payments to individual cases.
- - Support risk management and seize opportunities impacting objectives.
Required Experience
4 years relevant experience with High School Diploma; or 2 years relevant work experience with Bachelor or equivalent or higher.
Qualifications
- High school diploma.
- Certificates and/or Licenses: International Law; Political Science; or other relevant field.
