Overview
The role involves defining and steering secure, scalable, and automated DevOps architectures to support cybersecurity services within the European Commission. It ensures new technical solutions align with cloud, cybersecurity, and IT service management standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and steer secure, scalable and automated DevOps architectures supporting cybersecurity services.
- Ensure new technical solutions and features are designed in line with cloud, cybersecurity and IT service management standards.
- Act as Solution Provider for technical initiatives, guiding delivery from design to transition into production service.
- Support the integration of DevSecOps, automation, monitoring and operational readiness into engineering practices.
- Provide technical leadership to DevOps engineering activities and contribute to continuous improvement across architecture, delivery and operations.
Required Experience
- Substantial professional experience in IT, including significant experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, cloud or hybrid architecture.
- Experience in the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines, containerised and orchestrated environments, infrastructure-as-code solutions, cloud or hybrid-cloud platforms.
- Experience in integrating security requirements into engineering and delivery processes.
- Experience in technical project delivery, architecture governance, or solution design in complex environments.
- Experience in coordinating technical teams or working groups and engaging with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience in service transition, operational readiness, or production integration of IT services.
- Experience with technologies such as Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Terraform and Ansible will be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of platforms such as AWS, Azure, OVHCloud, CleverCloud or similar cloud environments is desirable.
- Experience with Nutanix-based IaaS/PaaS solutions would be an advantage.
- A solid understanding of ITIL v4 or equivalent IT service management frameworks and of the PM2 project management framework is desirable.
Qualifications
- A university degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least a level of education which corresponds to completed university studies of at least 3 years attested by a diploma.
