Overview

The Monitoring Assistant will contribute to the planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of WFP's programmatic activities at the community level to ensure the effectiveness, quality, and accountability of interventions.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation of field activities, including planning, organization, and liaison with communities and partners.
  • Ensure adherence to operational procedures and WFP standards, and manage the schedule of activities.
  • Conduct regular field visits to project sites, verify activity compliance, and monitor performance indicators.
  • Collect quantitative and qualitative data using digital tools, ensure data accuracy, and support beneficiary targeting and verification.
  • Raise beneficiary awareness about program activities and criteria, promote feedback mechanisms, and report community concerns.
  • Prepare mission reports and field debriefings, contribute to regular reports, and document best practices.
  • Maintain good relations with local authorities, community leaders, and partners, and participate in coordination meetings.
Required Experience

At least five (5) years of experience in field activities; Experience in data collection on program outputs and outcomes, conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses, writing reports, and communicating findings; Experience using WFP monitoring and evaluation systems and standards; Experience with humanitarian or development organizations is desirable; Experience in data collection using digital tools is an asset.

Qualifications

Completion of secondary education. A post-secondary certificate in the functional area is desirable.

Proficiency in the UN language used at the duty station and the language of the duty station, if different from the former.
