Overview
This is a general vacancy announcement for entry-level Finance Assistant and People & Culture Assistant positions at the GS-5 level within UNICEF's Global Shared Services Centre. The role supports global operations by managing HR, recruitment, and finance transactions and administrative processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions and HR, recruitment, and payroll processes.
- Monitor and verify data for accuracy, quality, and confidentiality.
- Ensure data privacy and protection.
- Timely and error-free processing and financial integrity.
- Efficiently plan and prioritize tasks based on workload and timelines.
- Adhere to Service Level Agreements (SLA) compliance.
- Contribute to updating knowledge articles and FAQs.
- Contribute to the timely update of SOPs, step-by-step guides, and working documentation.
- Participate in knowledge-sharing activities and support process improvements.
- Identify opportunities to simplify, streamline, and standardize processes.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in testing for business process and system changes.
Required Experience
A minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience in finance, human resources, administration or other relevant field of work is required. A completed BA degree qualifies as 3 years’ experience and Master`s degree qualifies as 2 years of relevant experience. Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite Products (MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint) is required.
Qualifications
Completion of secondary education (i.e., high school diploma) is a minimum requirement. preferably supplemented by technical or university courses related to the field of work.
