Overview
The Programme Budget Officer will support the planning, monitoring, and oversight of the Country Programme, ensuring alignment of resources, partnerships, risks, and programme progress for maximum impact. This role contributes to strategic decision-making and programme performance through analysis and insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Supports the preparation, review and analysis of budget plans, cost estimates and budget analysis, including the compilation of narrative inputs and supporting tables.
- Performs quality checks of partnership documents and data uploaded in eTools.
- Supports sections in entering, updating and amending programme documents, partnership information, assurance records and closure timelines.
- Supports capacity building and process support for financial reporting.
Required Experience
- A minimum of 1 year of professional work experience in programme/project management, budget and/or financial management, programme planning, monitoring, reporting or programme support is required.
- Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
Qualifications
A completed First Level university degree in one of the following fields is required: Business Administration, Public Administration, Projects Evaluation and Management, Finance, Social Science, Development Studies, Economics, Public Finance, Project Management and any other relevant field.
