Overview
Provide technical, operational, and administrative assistance for child protection programmes and projects, contributing to the implementation of Justice for Children interventions and humanitarian response.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, execute, manage, and implement programme tasks for development, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting. Contribute to the Child Protection section’s implementation of Justice for Children (J4C) interventions. Support implementation of Child Protection humanitarian response and Early Recovery programming related to Justice for Children and legal services. Provide technical guidance and management support throughout programming processes. Facilitate administration and achievement of contributions to national and international efforts to create a protective environment for children.
Required Experience
A minimum of two years of professional experience in social development planning and management in child protection related areas is required. Experience working in a developing country is considered as an asset. Relevant experience in programme development in child protection related areas in a UN system agency or organization, in particular related to Justice for Children of Child Protection system strengthening, is considered as an asset. Experience in both development and humanitarian contexts is an added advantage. Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
Qualifications
A university degree in one of the following fields is required: law, international development, human rights, psychology, sociology, international law, or another relevant social science field. An advanced university degree is an asset.
