Information Management and Analytics Analyst

Overview

The Information Management and Analytics Analyst is responsible for supporting data availability and accuracy for programmatic and operational purposes, reporting to the Information Management and Analytics Senior Analyst.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the development of the IM function and Unit structure.
• Support the database structure development, maintenance, and improvement.
• Ensure database administration, including data validation, cleaning, imports, backups, and quality checks.
• Support the development and maintenance of data collection and validation tools.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely and accessible mine action data.
• Provide datasets, technical inputs, and reporting-ready outputs to various UNMAS sections and partners.
• Support the development of the SNMAC national database and UNMAS data migration to IMSMA Core.
• Support the definition of national data requirements.
• Deliver technical IM training to stakeholders.

Required Experience

• Experience in providing information management support, working with database systems, and managing data quality.
• Experience in data modeling, data validation rules, data cleaning, database administration, and SQL/PostgreSQL or similar systems.
• Experience in working with GIS tools and producing maps and spatial analysis outputs.
• Experience in designing and delivering technical training to varied stakeholders.
• Desired: Experience producing dashboards or data visualization products for reporting purposes.
• Supporting Information Management in mine action.
• Working with IMSMA, SQL or Postgres.
• Working with ArcGIS and Survey123.
• Working with governmental institutions, UN, NGOs.

Qualifications

Advanced University Degree (Masters Degree or equivalent) preferably in Information Technology, Information Management, Computer Sciences or related field is required; OR First-level university degree (Bachelor's degree or equivalent) preferably in Information Technology, Information Management, Computer Science, or related field with 2 years of relevant experience is required; OR High School Diploma with 6 years of relevant experience is required.
