Overview
To lead on Operational Information Management and Performance Reporting (OIM & PR) activities, including tracking reporting needs, adapting practices, and ensuring a consistent operating picture for informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical staff on report preparation to ensure OIM & PR procedures and templates are followed.
- Act as a subject matter expert on WFP operations in Myanmar, capturing and synthesizing information.
- Collate, analyse, and communicate 'Essential Elements of Information' for operational awareness.
- Lead the preparation of the Annual Country Report (ACR).
- Support the preparation of high-level key messages and briefing notes for Senior Leadership.
- Support technical teams in translating evidence into knowledge and communication products.
- Collaborate with internal counterparts and other UN agencies on humanitarian information consistency.
- Support the enhancement of WFP staff capacity in OIM & PR through guidance and training.
- Support initiatives for developing improved OIM & PR, including drafting normative guidance.
- Support the assurance of defined quality standards in OIM & PR products.
Required Experience
At least three years or more of postgraduate professional experience in a relevant field of work, with a background and interest in international humanitarian development. Specialized knowledge of information management best practices, techniques, and processes with some understanding of the basic theoretical background. Able to supervise and support more junior and/or less experienced members of the team. Knowledge of, or the ability to quickly assimilate, UN/WFP-specific processes and systems.
Qualifications
Advanced University degree in Political Science, Economics, Statistics, Information Management or Journalism, Business Management, Social Sciences or other relevant field, or First University degree with additional years of related work experience and/or training/courses.
