Officer, CATI Program Implementation

Overview

Provide day-to-day technical and operational support for the planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring, and reporting of Case Area Targeted Intervention (CATI) activities for cholera control in Zambia.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of CATI activities at national and sub-national levels.
• Support the development, finalization, endorsement, launch and roll-out of CATI Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Work closely with national and sub-national counterparts to develop CATI activity plans, implementation schedules and budgets.
• Support the integration of CATI activities into existing national and sub-national cholera preparedness and response plans.
• Support the finalization, endorsement, launch, and roll-out of National Cholera Plans (NCPs).
• Work day-to-day with national and sub-national counterparts and stakeholders to develop activity plans, budgets, and investment cases to support the NCPs.
• Facilitate multi-sectoral collaboration by engaging stakeholders from various sectors.
• Support ZNPHI, MoH and sub-national health authorities to strengthen community-Based Surveillance, early warning and early detection systems.
• Develop and deliver tailored capacity-building activities for health workers, Community-Based Volunteers (CBVs) and other stakeholders.
• Support the timely activation, coordination and deployment of CATI Rapid Response Teams (RRTs).
• Support the integration of Risk Communication and Community Engagement (RCCE) into all CATI preparedness and response activities.
• Support the planning and implementation of WASH interventions.
• Contribute to procurement planning, prepositioning and management of CATI supplies, equipment and logistics.
• Facilitate the development and maintenance of information management systems for tracking NCP progress.
• Ensure accurate and timely data collection, analysis, and dissemination.
• Prepare regular reports on NCP implementation, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
• Participate in periodic reviews and evaluations of NCP activities.

Required Experience

• At least 5-7 years working experience in a role in a field-based position in humanitarian or developmental programming.
• At least 5 years’ working experience in facilitation and coordination of multi-sectoral actors preferably in a management or coordination role.
• At least 5 years’ experience in a multicultural environment, working within government set-up and/or with an international organisation or INGO.

Qualifications

• Relevant Medical degree or post-graduate study in a public health field, international health, or program management. (Required)
• Relevant degree or post-graduate study in a Public Health or management field experience. (Preferred)
