Overview

Supervises the receipt and custody of goods, commodities, and equipment in the warehouse, maintaining stock control records and overseeing ERP system input. Manages warehouse staff and facilities to ensure operational efficiency and adherence to safety regulations.


Key Responsibilities
  • Supervises the receipt and custody of all goods, commodities, and equipment stored in the assigned warehouse.
  • Maintains up to date stock control records with particular attention to the accurate recording of goods receipts, stock on hand.
  • Oversees correct prompt input into the ERP system.
  • Oversees accurate processing of ERP transactions in regard to goods receipts, issuance, stock transfer, deliveries and other related processes.
  • Prepares appropriate supply documentation.
  • Conducts regular spot checks to ensure the accuracy of ERP stock data.
  • Issues all commodities as required by the Warehousing Officer.
  • Supervises warehouse staff assigned permanently or temporarily.
  • Ensures safety measures are followed and monitors access authorization for security purposes.
  • Supervises and manages the activities of contractor staff.
  • Ensures that UNRWA warehouses adhere to safety and security regulations are fully fulfilled by all staff.
  • Is responsible for the management of the facilities assigned.
  • Monitors and implements infrastructure repairs and upgrades.
  • Ensures that assigned warehouse equipment and safety and security infrastructure is operational and effective.
  • Ensures that the facilities are maintained in a clean and hygienic state at all times.
  • Ensures timely loading and off-loading of trucks received and dispatched to various locations.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Required Experience

At least five years’ experience in storekeeping or logistics functions, is required.

Qualifications

Successful completion of secondary education; Diploma in business and office practice or other related discipline.

Contract Duration
Fixed Term Appointment for 1 year; including 1 year probation period, with the possibility of further extension, subject to the availability of funds, satisfactory performance, and continuing need.

Remuneration
Grade 10, the monthly salary will start from USD 1,306.60 (Monthly Salary 1,139.60 + Supplementary Allowance USD 167),The salary may be subject to a reduced work schedule. Other benefits include monthly Provident Fund contribution (15.4% of basic salary paid by the Agency), compulsory medical insurance, 30 days of annual leave, and dependency allowance (if applicable). Additional benefits: 2 days of sick leave for each completed month of service; 14 weeks of Maternity Leave; 2 weeks paternity leave.
