Overview
Provide overall leadership and responsibility for the country operation, including strategic direction, programme delivery, external representation, resource mobilisation, and team building.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse the political and humanitarian context and adapt the NRC programme.
- Prioritise continuous improvement and innovation for high-quality humanitarian and protection programming.
- Promote accountability, ethics, safeguarding, and humanitarian principles.
- Drive forward the position and advocacy voice of NRC South Sudan.
- Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Jointly set the strategic direction of the regional displacement crisis and ensure close cooperation on developing response modalities.
Required Experience
Minimum seven years of relevant managerial experience, including five years as a Senior Manager/Country Director in humanitarian/recovery context. Experience working in complex or volatile contexts. Experience leading diverse teams. Experience in protracted displacement settings.
