Intern in Banjul, Gambia (several positons)
Overview
The internship aims to provide hands-on professional experience in international development, MSME support, and programme implementation. Interns will support ITC’s ongoing programme activities through research, coordination, data management, and operational support.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of activities under the assigned flagship programme.
- Support coordination of trainings, workshops, and stakeholder engagements.
- Assist in logistics, participant tracking, and event organization.
- Support desk research on MSMEs, tourism, creative industries, and livelihoods.
- Support development of concept notes, reports, and briefing materials.
- Assist in compiling and analysing programme data and indicators.
- Support data collection exercises, surveys, and beneficiary tracking.
- Assist in maintaining databases and dashboards.
- Contribute to baseline and progress reporting.
- Support documentation of activities.
- Assist in drafting communication materials.
- Contribute to donor visibility requirements.
- Contribute to general office and coordination support.
Required Experience
Prior volunteer experience is an advantage but not required.
Qualifications
Applicants must be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent); or have graduated with a university degree and shall commence the internship within one year of graduation. Relevant field of studies: Economics, Business Administration, Accountancy, Development Studies, Statistics, Tourism, Creative Industries, Public Policy, or related disciplines.
