Overview

Internship supporting organizational culture through innovation, diversity, and inclusion within the Peace and Security Pillar.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting with the preparation of the weekly newsletter and other communications;
  • Collecting, analyzing and visualizing quantitative and qualitative information;
  • Updating online information related to staff engagement activities;
  • Supporting change management initiatives;
  • Coordinating and assisting with specific events;
  • Other ad hoc duties as required.
Required Experience

Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent). Applicants should have good knowledge of standard software applications, especially MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Teams.

Languages Required
Fluency in spoken and written English is required for the internship.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an advantage.

3-6 months

Flexible (Hybrid, all remote, or in-person)
Remuneration
The internship is UNPAID. Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
