Overview
Provide administrative and operational support to procurement activities for the WFP South Sudan Country Office in Juba, ensuring timely, transparent, and compliant purchasing of goods and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, compile, and share procurement documents.
- Receive, record, and follow up on purchase requests.
- Support the evaluation process by arranging documents and maintaining records.
- Collect and present supplier, market, and procurement information.
- Maintain accurate procurement files, supplier records, and contract trackers.
- Support the preparation and issuance of purchase orders and contracts.
- Follow up with teams, suppliers, and colleagues on delivery timelines and performance.
- Prepare periodic updates and reports on tenders, purchase orders, and contracts.
- Coordinate with relevant teams to clarify requirements and support timely procurement services.
- Provide guidance to colleagues on routine procurement tasks.
- Support procurement preparedness and urgent purchasing actions.
- Perform other procurement-related duties as required.
Required Experience
Minimum of 5 years post-secondary experience in humanitarian operations in the field of procurement, including experience handling small, medium and complex tenders from bid preparation, evaluation and award; experience working with suppliers or other third parties on a day-to-day basis; and contract management.
Qualifications
Completion of secondary school education. University degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or relevant similar qualifications in social sciences, Finance, Engineering is preferable but not mandatory.
