Overview

The CCCM Project Assistant will support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of infrastructure interventions for the CCCM unit, contributing to the construction, rehabilitation, and improvement of displacement sites and community infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of CCCM activities, particularly infrastructure interventions in the Port-au-Prince Metropolitan Area (ZMPP) and other departments, including site maintenance, planning, improvement, and development.
• Assist in the preparation of Bills of Quantities (BoQ), work plans, site plans, and training materials.
• Support the execution of practical assessments and the drafting of technical documents and contracts.
• Assist in verifying technical specifications and inspecting the quality of materials.
• Support the monitoring of works to ensure adherence to designs and technical specifications.
• Assist in conducting topographic surveys and site layout planning.
• Help develop, review, update, and improve work plans and preliminary drawings.
• Identify and assist in the acquisition of necessary materials for CCCM infrastructure operations.
• Organize and maintain an efficient, efficient, and transparent procurement process.
• Ensure activities are carried out according to defined specifications and notify relevant colleagues of any changes.
• Support the production of timely reports and maintain a clear tracking tool for technical activities.
• Support community engagement and maintain coordination channels with other humanitarian partners.
• Verify that documentation for occasional work, works, or other contractual agreements complies with IOM guidelines.
• Perform any other tasks assigned.

Required Experience

• Three years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in humanitarian emergency operations, with a focus on site planning and development.
• Experience working with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, Total Station, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel.
• Experience supervising works on IDP sites.
• Experience in CCCM aspects, Protection, Shelter/NFI, and WASH sectors.
• Understanding of the links between displacement and durable solutions.
• Proven ability to supervise casual labor engaged in infrastructure works.
• Experience working with international humanitarian organizations, NGOs, or governmental institutions in a multicultural environment.
• Experience in monitoring and evaluation (M&E) and report writing.
• Experience in consolidating information from multiple sources and subsequent report writing.

Qualifications

University degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
