Overview
The role involves conducting policy-relevant research and technical analysis on capital markets, managing financial databases, and contributing to the OECD's work on improving capital market functioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and update financial databases, collect data, and improve data collection/management processes.
- Develop new databases and produce novel indicators.
- Assess potential of AI tools for data infrastructure, visualisation, and analysis.
- Conduct policy-relevant research and technical analysis on capital markets.
- Contribute to evidence-based and data-driven analytical work using statistical techniques.
- Monitor capital market developments and public policies affecting corporate access to finance.
- Present findings and policy implications to internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to preparation of meeting briefings, talking points, speeches, and presentations for senior management.
- Participate in discussions in expert groups and conferences.
- Represent the team/Division in meetings and report back on outcomes.
- Establish and develop professional contacts with government officials, business community, international organisations, and academia.
- Contribute to the dissemination of Division’s reports on capital markets.
Required Experience
A minimum of one year of professional experience in capital markets or a related field. Experience working with large datasets. Previous professional experience or academic training in finance would be an advantage. Experience in organising, analysing and synthesising information, and drafting for both technical and general audiences.
Qualifications
An advanced university degree in finance, economics, business and finance or related field with a strong quantitative focus.
