Overview
The Information Management and Analytics Associate supports data entry, cleaning, verification, archiving, and standard map generation for the Information Management Unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the operational activities of the IM function
- Assist in the definition, documentation, and implementation of IM processes with a focus on data entry
- Support the implementation of IM Standard Operating Procedures
- Perform data entry, verification, cleaning, and quality checks of incoming mine action reports
- Maintain organized physical and digital archives of operational data, survey files, tasking orders, and field reports
- Support database maintenance, backups, and data imports
- Assist in testing and supporting data collection tools
- Identify and report data inconsistencies, gaps, or errors
- Respond to data queries
- Assist in organizing logistical and administrative requirements for MA AoR meetings and IM technical working groups and workshops
- Support information-sharing with UN entities and implementing partners
- Assist in data cleaning, mapping, and formatting tasks required for UNMAS data migration to IMSMA Core
- Provide administrative and technical support for capacity-building activities targeting SNMAC
- Assist in preparing training materials and logistical setup for IM training management packages
- Support the delivery of basic IM data entry training to implementing partners
- Produce standard static maps, spatial visuals, operational snapshots, and summary charts for reporting
- Contribute to the compilation of data for monthly factsheets, dashboards, and programmatic reports
Required Experience
- Experience providing information management support
- Experience with spreadsheets (MS Excel) and structured data entry
- Experience in data verification and cleaning
- Experience in mine action or humanitarian information management (desired)
- Experience in data migration (desired)
- Working knowledge of IMSMA, SQL, PostgreSQL, or GIS tools (QGIS/ArcGIS) (desired)
- Working with governmental institutions, UN, NGOs (desired)
- Experience preparing training materials or supporting delivery of basic technical training (desired)
- Experience maintaining physical or digital records/archiving systems (desired)
Qualifications
Advanced University Degree (Masters Degree or equivalent) preferably in the field of Information Technology, Information Management, Computer Sciences or related field is required; OR First level University degree (Bachelors Degree or equivalent) preferably in the field of Information Technology, Information Management, Computer Sciences or related field with 2 years of relevant experience is required; OR High School Diploma with 5 years of relevant experience is required.
