GIS Knowledge Management Specialist
Overview
The GIS Knowledge Management Specialist will support the WHO European Geospatial Hub in enhancing regional collaboration and knowledge-sharing through coordination of events, communications, and maintenance of knowledge management resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the GIS Hub knowledge repository.
- Support the organization and documentation of webinars, trainings, workshops, and knowledge-sharing events.
- Develop communication and visibility products.
- Document and disseminate lessons learned, good practices, and emerging trends.
Required Experience
3 years of demonstrated professional experience in knowledge management, information management, communications, GIS, or related fields. Experience developing, organizing, maintaining, and disseminating knowledge resources. Experience supporting webinars, workshops, meetings, training sessions, or other knowledge-sharing activities. Experience developing communication and visibility products. Experience documenting and synthesizing lessons learned, good practices, and technical knowledge. Familiarity with geospatial information and GIS concepts. Experience using collaboration and knowledge-management platforms. Ability to conduct desk research and synthesize findings. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Experience working in public health, humanitarian, emergency preparedness, development, or international organizational settings is desirable.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Knowledge Management, Information Management, Communications, Public Health, Geography, GIS, Geomatics, Digital Health, Data Science, or another relevant field. A master’s degree in a relevant field would be an asset.
