Analyze date on TB, HIV,STIs and Hepatitis in the EMR

Overview

Analyze programmatic and epidemiological information on TB, HIV, STIs, and viral hepatitis in the Eastern Mediterranean Region to support strengthening the health sector response.

Key Responsibilities

• Update programmatic information on TB, HIV and hepatitis, STIs from Member States in the Region.
• Compile, clean and organize TB, HIV and hepatitis programmatic and epidemiological data from available regional and country-level sources.
• Conduct basic analysis of available data to identify key trends, gaps, differences between countries and priority areas requiring further attention.
• Review relevant epidemiological data, reports, scientific articles and other evidence related to HIV, TB and viral hepatitis and summarize key findings relevant to the Region.
• Support the development and updating of regional information sheets, data summaries, tables, charts and other information products on HIV, TB and hepatitis and STIs.
• Contribute to the preparation of presentations and other materials to support the THS Unit's communication of key epidemiological and programmatic findings to Member States and partners.
• Output 1: Update and validate programmatic data for 22 countries of the EMR.
• Output 2 data analysis summary highlighting key trends, gaps and differences between countries.

Required Experience

• Experience in the management and coordination of information flows, data management including collection, storing, processing, and analyzing data to generate information products.
• Experience in data visualization in the area of humanitarian assistance.
• Experience in research and report writing is an asset.
• Knowledge of Relational Database Management System and MS Office applications.
• Advanced data visualization and information design skills.
• Strong computer background in Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, ACCESS, Power BI)
• In-depth knowledge of the latest technological developments in information technology and information system.
• Ability to formulate IM-related technical requirements and Operating Procedures.

Qualifications

• Essential: University degree in health-related field
• Desirable: post-graduate degree or training in the field of public health
