Overview

The Evaluation Analyst will support MIGA’s self-evaluation of projects, contribute to the operational effectiveness of MIGA evaluation practices, and assist in coordination with the Independent Evaluation Group (IEG). The role involves supporting data collection, performance indicator tracking, and communications on operational results.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the self-evaluation cycle for MIGA projects by compiling evidence, cleaning and analyzing data, and drafting analytical sections.
  • Apply agreed methodologies, maintain source traceability, and document repositories.
  • Contribute to efficiency improvements in evaluation processes and tools.
  • Assist discussions on the review and update of IEG evaluation methodologies.
  • Support initiatives to improve development data collection systems and processes.
  • Gather and consolidate inputs for WBG/MIGA Corporate Scorecard reporting.
  • Assist engagement with WBG counterparts to ensure consistent application of Scorecard methodologies.
  • Support evaluations, audits, mid-term reviews, and updates to the Scorecard approach.
  • Coordinate with MIGES Economics on IMPACT inputs and indicator tracing for guarantees.
  • Assist validation of IEG’s evaluative work on MIGA.
  • Prepare comparative analyses using quantitative and qualitative methods.
  • Coordinate draft comments and feedback to IEG with relevant WBG counterparts.
  • Track IEG evaluation schedules and facilitate requests for data, documents, and meetings.
  • Engage with IEG teams to organize underlying data and materials.
  • Identify lessons from project evaluations, monitoring data, and external evidence.
  • Draft knowledge assets and support dissemination.
  • Help create and maintain improved record systems for evaluation reports and related information.
Required Experience
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Experience conducting or setting up and operating results measurement/M&E platforms and systems for MDBs/DFIs or private sector.
  • Knowledge of and experience in evaluating or assessing development impact of private and public investment projects in developing countries.
  • Sound knowledge and experience with WBG Scorecard methodology and the IMPACT framework.
  • Sound knowledge of private sector business, contractual, and corporate finance practices and policies.
  • Knowledge of or exposure to AI/data science/machine learning techniques and tools for analytics.
  • Field experience a plus.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Legal, Data Science, or other relevant disciplines.
