Overview
The Operations Analyst will work on multi-disciplinary transaction teams throughout the transaction lifecycle, including underwriting, approvals, and guarantee negotiation. The role involves conducting research and analysis on investors and sectors, preparing financial models, and engaging with clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Work on multi-disciplinary transaction teams throughout the transaction lifecycle including underwriting, approvals and guarantee negotiation
- Conduct independent research and analysis on various topics including the transaction investor and sector and support analysis on the technical and commercial viability of the investment project
- Prepare and use complex financial models to, amongst others, analyze the financial viability of the investment project or support credit analysis for credit enhancement transactions
- Engage with MIGA’s clients, conduct in-country and virtual due diligence meetings with host country government officials, and collaborate with partners
- Prepare guarantee pricing estimates for clients
- Contribute to preparation of high-quality guarantee proposal documents and participate in presentations to MIGA’s Senior Management
- Support MIGA’s new business origination and client management efforts and, as required, conduct industry and client research
- Prepare talking points and presentations for new business origination-focused activities
- Collaborate with the portfolio team to provide analytical support in respect of portfolio management activities
- Conduct integrity searches on potential clients, project participants and stakeholders
Required Experience
At least 2 years’ relevant experience. Relevant experience includes limited non-recourse project finance work and/or analyzing and executing commercial or public sector investments, financial analysis with a focus on complex transactions in the emerging markets general infrastructure and energy sectors. Such experience ideally gained with a reputable and well known global financial institution (multi-lateral development bank, consulting firm, private sector sponsor, investment or commercial bank, etc.)
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (e.g., in Finance, Economics, International Business, or related field)
